Engine In Triumph Motorbikes?

Can anyone tell me whether this is right?

The engines in Triumph motorbikes are not manufactured by Triumph but by Honda?

Any input appreciated

Negative. Triumph is their own manufacturer. Rumor has it that Ford/Mazda helped design the earlier models crankshaft. But they are completely built in Hinckley UK. I love my 1050! It's still hard for me to accept that they are English and don't leak oil! But it hasn't leaked a drop! Weird!

I usually hear the Kawasaki rumors. Triumph consulted with three firms to assist in engineering their original T3 engine: Lotus, Riccardo and Cosworth, all English companies. They never used any Japanese firm although the owner John Bloor did tour motorcycle companies in Japan to get some ideas. Report It

Nope. Triumph manufactures its own engines in Hinckley.
Nope! They make their own. I saw it on Discovery Channel today on that orange county chopper show. They visited the factory over in England.
Triumph makes their own motors, they re tooled their factory in 1999. They make one of the best motors in the world.
dunno who told ya that but TRUMPET makes its own horns...

honda OY VEY thats cold
i don't think Honda has any connection with Triumph. however they have opened plants in Thailand that manufacture motorcycles for sale in other markets. i am not positive, but i think that's why their prices are more reasonable now.
The 'new' original was more of a Kawasaki motor than a Honda. (10~15yrs ago?)

Triumph designed and built their own engines in Britain though
not true triumph makes their own engines
